No TDS on payment made in kind as per Para 9 of Judgment delivered by Karanatka High Court in Bruhat Banglore Mahanagar Palike ITA 94/2015 dated 29-09-2015.The Court held that no TDS was liable to be deducted under section 194LA of the Act on land acquired through voluntary surrender by land owners in lieu of development rights on the ground that the section contemplates payment of a sum of money which was not satisfied as development rights did not constitute monetary consideration
